We recognize that there is a lot of "hype" out there about KM training programs and KM certification programs, with some so-called "institutes" claiming to provide the "original" Certified Knowledge Manager (CKM)® certification course, and claiming to provide expert-based training, and even claiming to provide elearning that somehow boosts the so-called "value" of their workshop (even though their "elearning" is nothing more that emails of presentation slides!).

Some facts to consider:
To get to the heart of the pricing issue it is important to recognize that the claims by this so-called "institute" are false and it's not the first time that they've made false claims -- here's an article regarding what they attempted to claim related to the Knowledge Management Certification Board (KMCB)®. They claim to be the creators of the "original" Certified Knowledge Manager (CKM)™ certification workshop -- which is false. KMPro's training provider, Dr. Dan Kirsch began providing the Certified Knowledge Manager (CKM)™ certification workshop in 1995, which is a full four years prior to the claims of the instructor of this so-called "institute" and a 10 years prior to this "institute" existed. In fact, when this "institute" tried to trademark the CKM® term, the US Patent & Trademark Office determined that they could not substantiate that claim made by the "institute" and it cited documentation of Dr. Dan Kirsch's CKM® workshop as prior claim. In fact, Hudson Associates Consulting, Inc. -- of which Dr. Dan Kirsch is the president -- has legally registered the Certified Knowledge Manager (CKM)™ trademark, and has legally registered the CKM® trademark (U.S. Patent & Trademark Office Registration No. 3518956) as well as the "CKM Instructor®" and "CKMI®" trademarks.

Related to the claim by others that they somehow provide better value by incorporating "face-to-face and e-Learning" which is an equivalent to "14 days of training" -- let's get right down to it and come right out and say that neither their workshop nor their so-called e-Learning is even equivalent to what KMPro offers. Our face-to-face workshop is THE STANDARD for KM implementation certification workshops. And the e-Learning that we offer through our bundle with our partner eKnowledge Center incorporates approximately 160 hours (that's 20 additional days) of REAL e-Learning -- which includes all the modules, quizes, tests, and exercises. We don't think that it is fair to call other online offerings "e-Learning" when the only "e" part of the learning is downloading presentation slides or text files.
